Im very very confused whether should I be selling my tokina 12-24mm, and get a sigma 10-20mm.
One of the main reasons is, when im shooting directly to the sun, i get very strange flares.. and sometimes on areas with high contrast, i get bad CAs but this can be easily corrected with photoshop/lightroom. Flares all over in my picture is really a bad thing, sometimes it ruins the whole picture.
So here's the good and bad of the Tokina.
Good
Sharp, well built, constant f4, well controlled distortion, not bad colours
BAD
CA, strange flares, 12mm vs 10mm of sigma.
And the good and bad of Sigma 10-20mm
Good
Will the flares i usually get from the tokina be gone when i use the sigma? This is something i really need to find out. But what i read was, the flare and CA is well controlled in this one. , 2mm wider = This is a lot wider when it comes to comparing wideys.
BAD
Noisy focusing, aperture F4-F5.6, not as sharp as the Tokina, bad body finish( starts to peel after sometime).
What will you do if you're me? keep it? or change... i need help here..
